I would never say his to an artist’s face and this is not hate at all to any artists who do this but like every time I see fanart of a smoothed out anime boy version of canon time Stanford or Stanley that look at least 30 years younger I feel my soul ache in protest a little more

#this is also a criticism of myself btw I’m not immune #drawing wrinkles is hard if you’re not used to it I get it #it’s just. every time man.#I’ve tried to get better at this because any time I draw them in my normal style they look 30 uears old and I hate it #that’s why I’ve mostly drawn them in the pseudo gravity falls style I been doing #cause then I can hide my inadequacy at drawing old people behind funny cartoon style #but rest assured I been practicing on the side in secret #my sketchbook has so many poorly drawn old man faces now #aria ramblings
